Local Firm Sponsors Local Racer in Daytona 500

JCMECI is proud to be an associate sponsor for the number 27 of Kirk Shelmerdine for the 2005 Daytona 500.

Newark, Delaware, February 1, 2005:  A local Environmental Consulting Firm, JCMECI, owned and operated by NASCAR fans, has stepped up as an associate sponsor for the number 27 entry of Kirk Shelmerdine Racing for the 2005 Daytona 500.   The #27 team will attempt to compete in all of the 2005 races with, Kirk Shelmerdine as the driver.

JCMECI, short for James C. McCulley IV, Environmental Consultants, Inc., is headquartered in Newark, Delaware and has a new field office in Georgetown, Delaware. JCMECI employs eleven scientists and specializes in all types of environmental investigations, including wetland studies, environmental audits, bog turtle surveys, construction review and various types of natural resource studies.  JCMECI is celebrating its 15th year of success in 2005.

Kirk Shelmerdine retired from Richard Childress Racing after serving as the crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Sr. and leading him to four Cup Championships.  Kirk is from the Philadelphia area and is looking forward to competing in the complete Nextel Cup season in 2005.

About Kirk Shelmerdine Racing

When to Watch...... The first chance to see the JCMECI logo on the #27 is during the Nextel Cup Practice session on the Speed Network on Sturday, February 12th at 10:30 AM. Qualifying for the Daytona 500 will be presented on Fox on Sunday February 13th at 1:00 PM followed by the big race a week later on Fox at 1:00 PM on Sunday February 20th.
