JCM Acquires Delmarva Wetlands Group

JCM Environmental Land Management has acquired Delmarva Wetlands Management LLC.  Delmarva, which was owned by Kevin Beam and Tim Sage, provided pond and open space management for many homeowners associations (HOAs) throughout Delaware.

JCM had teamed with Delmarva on several contracts and the chemistry was right.  Kevin Beam will be working full time at JCM and Tim Sage will be helping out part time, as often as his two other careers (teacher and waterman) will allow.

JCM Environmental Land Management specializes in Pond and Open Space Management as well as Invasive Species Control, Mosquito Control and a host of other land and water management specialties.

The acquisition of Delmarva and its contracts doubles the size of JCM's pond management market share and expands the expertise of our highly qualified staff.

This along with the Invasive Species and Wetlands Mitigation contracts already in place make JCM Environmental Land Management a major player in this market sector.

GREEN BUILDING

Well it only took 18 years for everyone else to catch up to JCM Environmental.

Any of our existing clients already know that we have been recommending "green" elements that have resulting in little or no cost increase and resulted in an acceleration of the development approval process.

On February 14, 2008, the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) rolled out their residential green building guideline (soon to be a standard) to an overflow crowd (they had to schedule two additional sessions).

JCM has added a new Branch (JCM Environmental Green Systems) to assist builders with all aspects of "green building".

We are proud to have hired Howard Fortunato to oversee this Branch and work with the builders and the Homebuilders Association of Delaware to accomplish "green" building projects.

We have staff certified as Certified Green Professionals and Verifiers under the NAHB program.  We also have one project under contract and are working to certify our first house in Delaware.

For more information, please contact Howard at howard@jcmenv.com or (302) 737-9335 X306

Rare Species
JCM Environmental has conducted habitat studies for both the Bog Turtle and Delmarva Fox Squirrel. The potential habitat for these two federally listed species have become stumbling blocks to many projects.

Potential Bog Turtle habitat can be found in Northern Delaware including all of New Castle County and portions of Kent County as well as all of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Potential Fox Squirrel habitat can be found in southern Delaware in Sussex County as well as portions of Maryland and Virginia.

Delaware SR1
All of the wetland mitigation sites for phase II of State Route 1, as designed by JCM Environmental, have been constructed and monitoring has begun. The regulatory agencies have required twenty years of monitoring for these wetland mitigation sites.
