You Want it When?

Extreme Makeover

The staff of JCM Environmental was proud to assist Anderson Homes in the Extreme Makeover Home Project in Wilmington, Delaware.

From demolition to completion in 106 hours and the community input made this an amazing project to be involved in.

Special thanks to Andrew Marchioni for going above and beyond in dealing with the Environmental Issues associated with this project.

Dear James,

Spring is here and things are very busy at JCM Environmental.  We have started a new Branch, acquired a competitor and have won some large projects, including rare, threatened and endangered species studies on a 90 mile power line easement in Maryland, lots of Brownfields work and a Green Building Project.

Bog Turtle and Fox Squirrel seasons are almost here and we are gearing up for a busy Spring.

JCM Acquires Competitor

JCM Environmental Land Management has acquired Delmarva Wetlands Management LLC.  Delmarva, which was owned by Kevin Beam and Tim Sage, provided pond and open space management for many homeowners associations (HOAs) throughout Delaware.  JCM had teamed with Delmarva on several contracts and the chemistry was right.  Kevin Beam will be working full time at JCM and Tim Sage will be helping out part time, as often as his two other careers (teacher and waterman) will allow.

JCM Environmental Land Management specializes in Pond and Open Space Management as well as Invasive Species Control, Mosquito Control and a host of other land and water management specialties.

The acquisition of Delmarva and its contracts doubles the size of JCM's pond management market share and expands the expertise of our highly qualified staff.  This along with the Invasive Species and Wetlands Mitigation contracts already in place make JCM Environmental Land Management a major player in this market sector.

Green Building for Residential Construction

Well it only took 18 years for everyone else to catch up to JCM Environmental.  Any of our existing clients already know that we have been recommending "green" elements that have resulting in little or no cost increase and resulted in an acceleration of the development approval process.

On February 14, 2008, the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) rolled out their residential green building guideline (soon to be a standard) to an overflow crowd (they had to schedule two additional sessions).

JCM has added a new Branch (JCM Environmental Green Systems) to assist builders with all aspects of "green building".  We are proud to have hired Howard Fortunato to oversee this Branch and work with the builders and the Homebuilders Association of Delaware to accomplish "green" building projects.

We are well on our way as a company to certify existing staff as Certified Green Professionals and Verifiers under the NAHB program.  We also have one project under contract and are working to certify our first house in Delaware.

For more information, please contact Howard at howard@jcmenv.com or (302) 737-9335 X306

It is an exciting time at JCM Environmental and we are available to handle any of your environmental needs from property due diligence through HOA turnover.

Sincerely,

James McCulley

Free Environmental Work

Every acre of land that you can't develop and every month of delay in your approvals costs you money (probably more than the cost of our environmental services).  Saving a month or two in processing time or recovering a fraction of an acre of developable land will more than pay the fee for our services.
